Alex Bassey Edem (born October 19, 1989), who is professionally known as Lazarus "Sailor Turn Rapper" is a Nigerian born Singer, Songwriter, Rapper, Marine Sailor and International Chef.
Lazarus(STR) was born in Calabar the capital of Cross River State and raised in Lagos , Nigeria. He made is debut into the Entertainment industry in 2020 when he emerged as the winner of the ONE HOUSE REALITY TV SHOW SEASON 2 EDITION.
Lazarus studied marine science and business administration from the prestigious Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron Nigeria and obtained A Higher National Diploma in Marine transportation and shipping management.
After winning the reality Tv show in 2020 with various media tour across all the TV and Radio stations in Lagos and other part of Nigeria, he decided to move to the UAE, Dubai for international music recording and videos to boost his career professionally.
In October 2021, Lazarus dropped his extended play (EP) "SailorTurnedRapper" which has 4 tracks Jekonmo, Switch, Take Over and the hit track "RESPECT" featuring Linguini and Mr Godwin. The album was recorded by Major Dan, the Major producer, mix mastered by SuperBrainBeats in the UAE.
Lazarus(STR) is currently working on his new project to collaborate with Top Indian Artist and Producers and will be dropping his next Album soon...
