HON EMMANUEL STEPHEN RAISES ALARM WITH A DISCLAIMER NOTICE OVER FAKE NEWS SCANDAL

 

I represent the above named legal firm and have the authority of my client (Hon Emmanuel Stephen) to disclaim the falsehood being peddled on social media by an anonymous user of a Facebook account ‘Neme sis’. 

The supposed poster and his/her co-travelers have obviously committed a serious act of defamation against my client with intention to bring his character to disrepute in the eyes of the public.

He/she remained anonymous because his/her assertions are not factual but a pigment of his/her imagination and i challenge the poster to reveal his/her identity if there is an iota of truth in the rant.

My client is a law abiding citizen and a devoted Christian who has reaffirmed without mincing words that gay is align to our society and unlawful as the anti gay law has been signed into law.

He has taken the bold step to swear an affidavit in a court of competent jurisdiction to debunk the gibberish and is willing to file a libel lawsuit but obviously cannot file against a non existent being.

I challenge the writer to reveal his/her identity and also appeal to the general public to do every genuine business with my client without any bias.

The necessary security agencies have been notified to swing into action to unravel the person or people behind the provocative post.

My client has been devastated by this sad and false rumor against his personality and appeals to the public to desist from media trial on him.

He has chosen the honorable path to seek proper address of the issue in court after the security agencies have unraveled the person or group of persons behind this mystery and will not love to speak further on it pending the pronouncement from the court as this will be an act of subjudice.

We hope that the public will understand the sensitivity of the matter and cooperate with him to get justice.
